New yoga starts today (5:50 pm).  It is designed to compensate for all sporting issues that could come up.  Focus will be the low back, hamstrings, spine, neck, and quads.  This is yoga with a scientific approach to health, so please present any issues you need addressed.

  Pounding the pavement and flowing on the mat may be at the opposite ends of the exercise spectrum, but together they can work in harmony to strengthen, stretch and balance the body and mind. Join us for an hour-long class that will enhance your performance by balancing joints, opening hips and hamstrings, strengthening arms and core, and increasing your VO2 Max (your oxygen efficiency).  

 I am quite excited that this will prepare everyone for the upcoming half marathon and do just what yoga is intended to do. 

Yoga puts us in difficult positions and then we hold them until we find comfort. In our lives when we find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation, we know we can sail through the situation as we have felt discomfort and moved through it until we found comfort on our yoga mats.

    The yoga was wonderful. I am not a runner, in fact, I was skeptical, but my back benefited. I was sore--it was not an easy yoga class--but it decreased my back pain while it increased my range of motion. Cannot wait for next week!
